Frida Åberg

I’m a visual artist and psychologist dividing my time between the Mediterranean coast of Costa Brava, Catalonia and the windy shores of the North Sea in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Through my art I explore the colors and movements of organic shapes, often using a technique of mixed media, creating textures through paper and yesso on canvas. My themes stem from memories and places that left an impression with me.

I’m born and raised on the island Gotland, situated in the Baltic sea. From an early age, maybe influenced by the many travelers that lived for centuries on my island, I’ve had an urge to explore the world and tell my stories through writing, painting and drawings – or through the many conversations I’ve had with people from all over.

I have a Bachelor in Design from the school La Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris and a Msc in Psychology from the University of Gothenburg. I’ve worked for ten years as a fashion designer and equally long as an organizational psychologist and coach.
